Stake.us has two tools for stepping back, and both live in the same place in your account: Account > Stake Smart > Self Exclusion.

Break in play is a temporary pause. You choose 1 day, 2 days, 1 week, 1 month, 2 months or 3 months. While the break runs you can still log in and redeem Stake Cash, but you cannot play and you cannot buy Gold Coins. Once a break is set it is irreversible, so choose a length you will honor.

Self-exclusion is a long-term step. You choose 6 months, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 years, or indefinite. It disables the account completely, and it is also irreversible once set.

Closing an account is a third option, and it works differently. Closing forfeits any remaining Gold Coins, Stake Cash and unredeemed prizes, so redeem what you are entitled to before you ask support to close it. Support is available through live chat 24/7. Staying Within Your Means

Gold Coin packages are optional, and the best way to keep spending in check is to treat them like any other entertainment budget: set an amount you are comfortable with, and do not top it up because a session is going badly. Stake.us caps purchases at $9,000 USD per day, with the period resetting 24 hours after your first purchase and the current limit visible in Wallet > Buy Gold Coins. That cap is a platform ceiling, not a target and not a recommendation.

Signs You Should Take a Break

Pause and consider stepping back if you notice any of these:
