Stake Cash & Gold Coins

Stake Cash and Gold Coins are the two tokens that run Stake.us: Gold Coins are for fun and can be bought in optional packages, while Stake Cash cannot be bought, comes free and can be redeemed for prizes at an implied rate of 1 SC = 1 USD. No Purchase Necessary applies, so every player can collect both tokens for free through the daily bonus, giveaways and the mail-in request. This guide covers how each token works, how to buy a Gold Coin package, how to redeem Stake Cash and the rules that sit around all three.

How the Stake.us Tokens Work

Most confusion about Stake.us comes from not knowing which token does what. The site uses two, and they behave very differently. One is for playing and can be bought. The other is for prizes and cannot be bought at all. This guide walks through each token in the order you meet them: what they are, how you get them, how to buy Gold Coins if you want to, how to redeem Stake Cash and what can go wrong on the way.

Stake Cash vs Gold Coins

Gold Coins (GC) are the everyday play token. They have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed, exchanged or converted to Stake Cash. You get some free every day, you can buy more in packages, and you use them to play the whole lobby for fun. They also push your VIP progress forward, at a smaller rate than Stake Cash.

Stake Cash (SC) is the sweepstakes token. It has no cash value as a balance, but it can be redeemed for prizes, and the implied rate is 1 SC = 1 USD. Stake Cash cannot be purchased. The only routes to it are free offers, promotions and the bonus that comes with most Gold Coin packages. That single rule is what keeps Stake.us on the right side of the sweepstakes model, because it means a player can always collect Stake Cash without paying.

RedeemableNeverYes, for prizes
Can be boughtYesNo

You can switch between the two tokens in the Wallet, and each game uses whichever one you have selected. Because both count toward the Stake.us VIP Program, free Gold Coin play still moves you up the ladder. If you only want to play for fun, you can stay on Gold Coins and never touch Stake Cash.

A simple rule helps when you are deciding which token to play with. Use Gold Coins when you want to try a game, learn how a feature works or play with no stake in the outcome. Use Stake Cash when you want the sweepstakes element, because only Stake Cash can end in a prize. Nothing forces you to change tokens, and switching never costs anything. If you play for sweepstakes, remember the other side of the choice: a play with Stake Cash is a play toward a rollover or a VIP threshold, and it should stay within a budget of time and money you picked in advance.

Is Stake.us Real Money?

No. Stake.us is a social casino, and nothing on it is a real-money game. Gold Coins have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed. Stake Cash is not money either: it is a promotional token that you collect for free, and it can be redeemed for prizes after the checks described below. Searches for “real money” on Stake.us usually come down to one question, and the honest answer is that the prizes are real while the tokens are not.

Here is the difference in practice. You do not fund an account with dollars and play against the house for cash. You can buy optional Gold Coin packages for entertainment, and some come with bonus Stake Cash. When your Stake Cash qualifies, you ask for a prize, and Stake.us pays it in crypto or by bank transfer at the implied rate of 1 SC = 1 USD. Stake.us is also not a financial institution, so unredeemed prizes earn no interest.

How to Get Stake Cash

Because Stake Cash cannot be bought, the routes to it are a short list. Four of them need no purchase.

  • Log in once a day and claim free Gold Coins and free Stake Cash from the Wallet with the daily bonus. The amounts are not published.
  • Stake.us posts promotional giveaways on its official social channels, and the amount is stated in each giveaway.
  • A mail-in request, a handwritten card with your personal code sent in a stamped envelope, earns 5 Stake Cash per valid card. The full rules are on the Stake.us bonus page.
  • Bonus drops are time-limited codes on the official channels, redeemed under Account > Settings > Offers.
  • Most Gold Coin packages include bonus Stake Cash, and the amount is shown at the time of purchase. The $30 package carries Gold Coins only.

New accounts have one more route, the welcome offer. It depends on verifying within 72 hours and, if you hold an affiliate code, entering it in the first 24 hours. The Stake.us promo code page explains the clocks.

Gold Coins and green gems on a dark backdrop
Gold Coins are for fun, Stake Cash is the token that can be redeemed

The mail-in route deserves a second look because it is the formal No Purchase Necessary method. You write the request by hand, put it in a stamped envelope, include your personal code from the code generator and post it from the same state as your verified address. The Terms spell out every detail, from the minimum card size to the exact order of the lines, and cards that miss a requirement are void. Treat it as a slow, reliable free route, not a quick one.

Playthrough rules attach to some of these routes. Bonus drops state their own playthrough in each post, and Stake Cash that arrives alongside a Gold Coin purchase must be played through 3x before it can be redeemed, so a 10 SC bonus asks for 30 SC of play. The help center describes the 3x rule for Stake Cash that came with a purchase, and the Terms word it more broadly, so check the Redemption section for your own progress before you request a prize.

How to Buy Gold Coins on Stake.us

Buying Gold Coins is optional, and you never have to do it to play or to redeem a prize. If you decide to, the process is simple. Open the Wallet, choose Buy Gold Coins, pick a package and pay by card or by supported crypto.

The rules that apply to every purchase:

  • The payment method must be in your name. Purchases from a business account are not allowed.
  • Purchases are final and non-refundable.
  • Any exchange or transaction fees on your side are yours to bear.
  • The daily limit is $9,000 USD. It resets 24 hours after the first purchase of the period, and the countdown shows in the Buy Gold Coins section.
  • Most packages include bonus Stake Cash. The $30 package does not.

For crypto, the purchase page lists the supported coins and networks. Do not send from Cronos, Base, Arbitrum or Optimism, which are not supported. Send ETH through ERC20 or BEP20, and send USDC through ERC20, BEP20 or Matic. Expect a short wait, because every crypto transaction has to be confirmed on the blockchain before it is credited. Stake.us cannot speed that up, and a fee set too low can make the transaction expire, with the funds returned to the sending wallet.

One rule links buying and redeeming. If you buy Gold Coins with a card, you must redeem in fiat. If you buy with crypto, you must redeem in the same crypto. You cannot switch currency while any Stake Cash sits in your wallet, and only a zero balance lets you choose again. Decide how you want your prizes paid before you choose how to pay for a package.

Before you buy, run through a short checklist:

  • Confirm you are in an eligible state and that your identity check is complete.
  • Decide whether you want prizes in fiat or in crypto, because your purchase currency sets your redemption currency.
  • Check how much bonus Stake Cash the package carries, and remember that it needs a 3x playthrough.
  • Set a budget for entertainment and stay inside it. A Gold Coin package never makes a prize more likely.
  • Keep the purchase confirmation and the transaction ID. Support asks for both if anything goes wrong.

Package prices and the amount of Gold Coins and Stake Cash in each one are not listed in this guide, because Stake.us shows them only at the time of purchase and they change. Look at the purchase page, compare the Stake Cash bonus per package and buy only what fits a budget you set for entertainment.

How to Redeem Stake Cash on Stake.us

Stake.us has no withdrawals: you redeem Stake Cash for prizes. Only Stake Cash can be redeemed, and the process has a fixed order.

  1. Verify your identity. Stake.us uses Veriff for a live photo of an ID card or driver’s license and a live selfie. Screen images and paper copies do not work. Verification is required before any redemption.
  2. Clear any rollover. Bonus Stake Cash that came with a Gold Coin purchase must be played through 3x first. You can track the progress in the Redemption section until it is complete. If you receive more bonus Stake Cash with a new purchase while you wait, the section stays locked until that amount is also played through 3x.
  3. Open Wallet and choose Redeem. Enter the code from your 2FA app. If you have not set up 2FA, a code arrives by email instead, and Stake.us strongly recommends turning 2FA on.
  4. Choose your method. Redemptions go out as crypto or by bank transfer. Bank transfer needs at least one successful card purchase on the account. Without one, you can still redeem in crypto, provided your Stake Cash meets the minimum and covers the fee.
  5. Confirm the request. The Redeem screen shows the fee that will be subtracted, if any, and the final amount.

Each account can make one redemption request every 24 hours. Stake.us can pay a large prize in smaller daily increments, and requests are processed as soon as practicable, in the order they arrive. Identity checks can add delay. The site does not publish a redemption time, so this guide does not either.

After you submit, the request waits in the queue. Stake.us handles requests in the order they arrive and can run extra identity checks before it pays, which is the main reason a redemption can take longer than you expect. If the status does not change, contact live chat with your username and the time you submitted it, instead of sending a second request, because only one request per 24 hours is allowed.

Redeemed amounts are subject to the Terms, and Stake.us gives no tax or legal advice. Keep your own records of what you receive and speak to a tax professional about how prizes are treated where you live.

Stake.us Redemption Limits and Fees

Four limits shape a redemption:

  • Stake.us sets a minimum redemption amount, and it appears on the Redeem screen. This guide does not quote a figure, because the number is shown inside the site and can change.
  • Each account can make one request every 24 hours. The limit is per account, not per method.
  • Stake.us can charge a processing fee, and the Redeem screen shows it subtracted from the amount.
  • Redemptions from Florida accounts are capped at $5,000 per day. The state table on the Stake.us legal states page flags it.

A worked example shows how the pieces fit. Say you buy a package that includes 10 bonus SC, and you also collect 5 SC from the mail-in route. The 10 bonus SC must be played through 3x, which means 30 SC of play, and the Redemption section stays locked until that is done. Once the rollover is complete and your balance meets the minimum, you open Wallet and Redeem, enter your 2FA code and pick the method that matches how you bought. The Redeem screen shows the fee, you confirm, and the request joins the queue. These figures are an illustration, not a quote of any package.

The Terms name Florida as the only state-specific cap. Elsewhere the one-request-per-24-hours rule and the daily increments for large prizes set the pace, so if a prize is large, plan for it to arrive in parts. For crypto, the wallet and network you enter are your responsibility, and Stake.us does not check that your wallet accepts the coin you choose.

Stake Cash to USD: What Is It Worth?

The implied rate is 1 SC = 1 USD. If you redeem 100 SC in bank transfer, the prize is worth 100 USD before any fee. If you redeem in crypto, the prize is paid at the market price of the coin at the moment of redemption, so the amount of crypto varies with the market even though the dollar value of the Stake Cash is fixed.

Gold Coins have no value. A balance of a million Gold Coins converts to nothing, and they cannot be exchanged for Stake Cash at any rate. Treat them as entertainment, and treat Stake Cash as a promotional token that happens to be redeemable. Neither is an investment, and unredeemed prizes earn no interest.

Stake.us Redemption Problems and Fixes

Most failed redemptions come down to a short list of causes.

  1. Verification is not finished. Complete the Veriff check. Redemption stays locked until it passes. The Stake.us login page explains what the check accepts.
  2. There is no 2FA code. Set up 2FA, or use the code sent to your email if 2FA is off.
  3. The rollover is not met. Check the Redemption section to see how much of the bonus Stake Cash is still to be played through.
  4. You chose bank transfer without a card purchase. Bank transfer needs at least one successful card purchase. Choose crypto, or make a qualifying purchase.
  5. The currency does not match. You bought in one currency and are trying to redeem in another. Redeem in the currency you bought with.
  6. The network is wrong. An unsupported network, or the wrong network for a coin, can delay or lose a payment. Check the network before you send.
  7. The purchase is pending. A crypto purchase appears under Transactions > Purchases and stays pending until the network confirms it.
  8. Stake Cash is missing after a purchase. Check that you bought a package that includes it, because the $30 package does not. If it should have come, contact live chat with the purchase amount, the date and the transaction ID from your purchase history.

If you still cannot see the problem, ask live chat, which runs 24/7. Never share your password or your 2FA code. If buying Gold Coins starts to feel like a way to recover a loss, stop. The Responsible Social Gameplay page covers the break in play and self-exclusion tools, and you can set them under Account > Stake Smart > Self Exclusion.
